Aleksandra K. Jako, Esq., Principal

Raised in a family with generations-deep roots in real estate development, commercial construction, and sales, Aleksandra K. Jako has spent virtually her entire professional career immersed in the Chicagoland real estate industry. Her exposure to real estate law began early, working alongside her family’s transactional and litigation attorneys while still in high school. At just 18, she became a licensed real estate broker while working full-time as a law clerk for respected Chicago real estate attorney Aaron Spivack. Under his mentorship, she participated in and observed thousands of closings, developing a strong practical foundation in real estate law years before entering practice herself.

Upon admission to the Illinois Bar, Aleksandra founded JAKO LAW LLC, building a practice centered on real estate, business, and construction. She represents buyers, sellers, investors, developers, landlords, and business owners in residential and commercial transactions throughout Chicagoland, including acquisitions and sales, development projects, leasing, title and ownership matters, land trusts, and deeds Aleksandra also advises businesses on entity formation, corporate governance, contracts, and joint ventures, and serves as general counsel to construction and real estate-related companies. Her construction practice includes mechanics lien matters, payment disputes, contract issues, and other construction-related claims.

Known for practical, accessible counsel and a detail-oriented approach, Aleksandra focuses on understanding each client’s broader objective and developing a legal strategy around it, whether handling a residential closing, negotiating a multimillion-dollar commercial transaction, advising a developer, or counseling a longtime business client.

Aleksandra is an active member of the Chicago Bar Association, Illinois State Bar Association, Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association, and Serbian Bar Association of America, where she received the 2014 Past President’s Scholarship Award.

Aaron Spivack, Esq., Of Counsel

Aaron Spivack serves as Of Counsel to JAKO LAW LLC, bringing decades of legal experience and practical judgment to the firm and its clients. His practice is grounded in a straightforward approach to the law: understand the client’s objective, identify the issues that matter, and work toward a practical and effective resolution.

Throughout his career, Aaron has represented individuals and businesses across a range of transactional and legal matters. His depth of experience allows him to provide thoughtful counsel while recognizing the practical considerations that often drive a client’s decisions outside of the four corners of a legal document.

At JAKO LAW, Aaron works collaboratively with the firm’s attorneys and provides an additional layer of experience and perspective on client matters. He shares the firm’s commitment to accessible, responsive representation and to giving clients advice that is clear, candid, and tailored to the circumstances at hand.

Aaron’s approach is personal and relationship-driven. He values the trust clients place in their attorneys and believes effective representation begins with listening, understanding the larger picture, and remaining focused on the client’s ultimate goal.

Gulnoza Turdaliyev, Esq., Associate Attorney

Gulnoza Tursunova, J.D. serves as an Associate Attorney at JAKO LAW LLC, where she supports the firm’s real estate transactional, landlord-tenant, litigation, and traffic matters. She works closely with Aleksandra Jako, Esq. and Aaron Spivack, Esq. on contract drafting and review, attorney review negotiations, motion practice, case preparation, client communications, and strategic legal research.

Gulnoza earned her Juris Doctor from Golden Gate University School of Law, where she received the CALI Award for the highest grade in Legal Analysis. Her academic distinction reflects the analytical precision, disciplined reasoning, and strong legal writing skills she brings to her practice.

Prior to joining JAKO LAW, Gulnoza gained substantial hands-on legal experience through internships in both Illinois and California. She conducted complex legal research, drafted memoranda and briefs, participated in client interviews, and assisted in case strategy development. Her experience includes representing clients in mediation, preparing declarations and filings, and working on high-stakes matters involving employment and immigration law.

In addition to her legal training, Gulnoza has practical exposure to real estate operations, having previously worked as a Closing Coordinator managing high-volume transactions. This background gives her a practical understanding of deal flow, transaction deadlines, and the mechanics behind successful real estate closings.

Fluent in Russian and Uzbek, and conversational in French and Spanish, Gulnoza brings strong communication skills and cultural fluency to client-facing matters. As an Associate Attorney, she continues to develop her practice with a focus on precision, strategic thinking, and client-centered advocacy.
